"Capturing joy and beauty, and holding them for eternity."
That is my passion.
For forty years I have painted moments that would otherwise pass unseen. A blue wisteria at the height of its bloom. The light in a bouquet that is already fading. The brief instant when something catches the light and changes again.
The work makes itself felt by whoever is open to it. People stand in front of it and something in them is touched, without being able to say exactly what. Or, as I sometimes put it: get out of your head and connect with the painting.
In forty years, hundreds of works have found their way into people's homes. Almost always joyful, sometimes emotional moments. You see someone fall in love with a painting, and then live with it for decades.
Now I paint more freely than ever. Often over my own old work, with new energy on a foundation that was already there. It comes from within.
"Only once a canvas is sold do I leave it alone."
